GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE
1. OBJECT
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTC) are issued by the company LA LUNE GALERIE SARL, with a share capital of €1,000, whose registered office is located at 1 B Grande Rue, Thenissey (21150) – France, registered with the Trade and Companies Register under number 911 890 770 R.C.S. Dijon.
Its SIRET number is 911 890 770 00017 and its intra-community VAT number is FR43 911 890 770.
The trade name of the company is LA LUNE.
The General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTC) aim to define the conditions of distance selling and delivery of products offered for sale on the website accessible at the following address: www.lalunegalerie.fr.
The detailed General Terms and Conditions of Sale listed below are those published online on the website www.lalunegalerie.fr. They are applicable at the time of the Customer's order, unless a different written agreement is made.
Before the final validation of any order, the Customer must read and accept these terms of sale.
Placing an order on the website www.lalunegalerie.fr implies full and unconditional acceptance of these terms of sale by the Customer.
La Lune reserves the right to modify these General Terms and Conditions of Sale at any time.
2. PRODUCTS
La Lune offers the online sale of decorative objects, antique furniture, as well as handcrafted objects and furniture.
The products offered for sale by La Lune are those listed on the website on the day the Customer consults the site, subject to stock availability.
Our product offers and prices are valid as long as they are visible on the website, subject to stock availability.
Errors or modifications may exceptionally occur, particularly in the case of simultaneous orders of the same product by multiple Customers. La Lune shall not be held responsible in case of out-of-stock or product unavailability for orders not yet accepted by La Lune.
Prices and product availability are subject to change without prior notice.
La Lune strives to present products as accurately as possible on the website via, for each product, a descriptive sheet including:
a detailed product description
essential physical characteristics
several photographs
the price
available sizes, dimensions, and colors
composition (if known)
Minor differences between a product and its photograph may exist, especially depending on the resolution and color settings of the User's screen.
Product descriptive sheets are not contractually binding.
We cannot accept any responsibility for color variations caused by the web browser, computer system, or phone used to view the products.
We also offer sample items to allow Customers to see the physical rendering of a project.
Furthermore, due to their age (for antique items), products—even after restoration—will always show signs of wear. They may also no longer comply with current standards in France and the European Union at the time of purchase.
For handcrafted products, La Lune undertakes to deliver products that comply with current safety and health regulations, in accordance with European provisions, including legislation on regulated chemical substances.
However, these products follow artisanal manufacturing processes, which may result in slight discoloration or minor deformations, which shall not be considered defects.
Due to the artisanal nature of our products, actual color and surface texture may differ slightly from the color chart.
As with all raw materials and natural fibers, minor differences are inevitable. They should not be interpreted as defects but reflect the artisanal nature of the product.
By validating your order, you confirm your understanding and acceptance of these minor differences.
If the Customer requires additional information or clarification about a product, they are invited to contact La Lune by email (see Contact Customer Service section).
3. PRICES
All prices of products sold on the website are expressed in euros, including all taxes (TTC).

4. FURNITURE, LIGHTING AND SOFAS – LA LUNE EDITIONS
Except for decorative accessories, rugs, lighting, and vintage items held in stock, none of the furniture and sofas presented on the Website are held in stock.
Each product is made specifically for each Customer after confirmation of their order.
In the case of orders for products manufactured on demand, the Customer cannot request cancellation of their order, in accordance with Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, which excludes the possibility for the Customer to exercise their right of withdrawal.

7. DELIVERY
7.1. DELIVERY FEES
The product prices indicated on the Website do not include packaging and shipping costs.
The indicated rates and deadlines apply to metropolitan France.
For any other destination, the Customer is invited to contact La Lune.
La Lune uses different shipping methods depending on:
the nature of the products (weight and size)
the delivery location (Paris, Province, Abroad)
7.2. COLISSIMO – METROPOLITAN FRANCE AND EURO ZONE
The shipping cost is calculated based on the destination and the weight of the item(s) ordered, using Colissimo with signature on delivery.
Products ordered by the Customer are shipped within metropolitan France to the address indicated during the order on the website within 7 business days. However, these timelines are indicative.
Unless otherwise stated, delivery is made to the address provided by the Customer at the time of order. To ensure these deadlines are met, the Customer must provide accurate and complete delivery information (including street number, building, staircase, access codes, intercom names/numbers, etc.).
Products will be delivered by La Poste. La Lune disclaims any responsibility in the event of delivery delays due to postal services, as well as in case of lost products or strikes. Transport risks are borne by the Customer, who must submit a motivated complaint to the postal services within three business days from delivery. Furthermore, ownership of the ordered products will only be transferred to the Customer upon full payment, including delivery fees.
Delays do not give the Customer the right to claim damages. The Customer is delivered at their home. In case of absence, the Customer or the recipient will receive a notice from La Poste, allowing them to collect the products at the nearest post office within fifteen days.
The Customer must check, in the presence of the delivery person, the condition of the packaging and its contents. If the Customer has any doubt about the condition or contents of their package, they must follow the Colissimo procedure (reporting damages, complaints, and reservations), refuse the merchandise by immediately issuing a damage report with the Colissimo delivery person, and notify the Seller (bonjour@lalunegalerie.fr) within 48 hours with a copy of the report made to La Poste.
In case of delivery of a product that does not match the order (defective or non-compliant), the Customer must make a claim within 48 hours of receipt. Claims must be sent by email to bonjour@lalunedecoration.fr and include:
Customer contact details
Product references
Reasons for the claim
Returned products must be sent within seven business days after receiving a return number from La Lune Customer Service. Otherwise, La Lune will not proceed with any exchange or refund.
All products to be exchanged or refunded must be returned in their original condition and packaging, including all accessories. Shipping costs are borne by La Lune, except when the returned or exchanged product does not match the original declaration made by the Customer on the return form. Return costs are capped at the Colissimo shipping rate. All risks related to the return are borne by the Customer. Failure to respect this procedure and deadlines will result in the products being considered compliant and free from visible defects.
Deliveries to EU countries are carried out by La Poste at priority rate. For deliveries outside the EU, products are shipped by international postal services at priority rate, and only items that meet postal weight and volume conditions can be shipped. In case of apparent defects, the Customer has the right of return under the conditions described in this document.
7.3. RETURNS
If you are not satisfied with your item, you can return your intact and unused purchase within 14 business days of receiving the items (carrier’s date being authoritative). The Customer is responsible for shipping costs for returning an undamaged item. Return shipping costs will be deducted from the refunded amount. Returned merchandise must be unused and in its original packaging. Ensure fragile products arrive intact; damaged or broken items cannot be refunded.
Items from La Lune Editions are made specifically for each Customer after confirmation of their order. For made-to-order items, the Customer cannot request order cancellation according to Article L 221–28 of the Consumer Code, which excludes the possibility to exercise the right of withdrawal.
If you wish to return an item, please contact mehdi@lalunegalerie.fr for guidance.
Refunds will be issued to the Customer within fourteen days at the latest.
7.4. BULKY ITEMS
Objects and furniture exceeding 30 kg or with dimensions not supported by postal services will be shipped via a customized delivery. The delivery cost is calculated based on the destination, weight, volume of the purchased items, and the chosen delivery method.
Delivery may be carried out by a carrier for the provinces and the European Union, or directly by La Lune for Paris and its inner suburbs (details of served municipalities in the delivery annex).
The shipment will be made at the foot of the building, or if it is a house, at its doorstep.
Delivery times are provided to the Customer as an estimate, as early as possible. The Customer will be notified by email, and confirmation of their presence for product reception is mandatory to complete the delivery. Any lack of confirmation will result in an extension of the delivery time.
Storage fees may apply for bulky items.
Once the item is taken in charge by the carrier, the Customer must comply with the reception conditions and agrees to pay the transportation costs if necessary.
If the Customer wishes to cancel their purchase after the product has been taken in charge, shipping and return costs will remain their responsibility.
Before signing the delivery note, the Customer must:
Check the apparent condition of the package(s)
Check the condition of the products inside the package(s)
Verify the products’ compliance with the delivery note and the order
It is therefore the Customer’s responsibility to carry out all necessary checks to assess the conformity of the products upon delivery. This verification is deemed to have been performed once the Customer signs the delivery note.
In case of anomalies upon delivery, the Customer must make detailed, legible, and precise reservations (breakage, damage, non-conformity: wrong product, different color and/or dimensions, missing items, etc.).
When delivery is made by a carrier, the Customer must note any reservations on the delivery note. The Customer may also submit precise claims regarding the delivered products within three days of receipt or collection.
If no precise reservations are made, delivery will be deemed compliant.
The carrier appointed by La Lune will contact the Customer to schedule a delivery date within the indicated deadlines mentioned in the order summary.
During the appointment, the Customer must report any access difficulties the carrier might encounter and measure any access passages to their residence.
All additional costs related to using elevators, lifts, etc., will be borne by the Customer and billed by the provider in addition to the product price and delivery fees indicated on the Website.
The Customer agrees to be present on the agreed delivery day and to check the order’s compliance upon receipt.
Additional fees for a new delivery will apply and must be paid before any re-shipment in the following cases:
Absence of the Customer on the delivery day
Error by the Customer in providing the delivery address
Impossibility of delivery due to access difficulties not previously reported
If the second appointment cannot be scheduled due to the Customer, fifteen (15) days after an unfulfilled formal notice, the products will be returned to La Lune, which reserves the right to retain the sale price as compensation, with all shipping costs still payable by the Customer.
7.5. DELIVERY TIMES FOR BULKY ITEMS
La Lune uses third-party carriers for deliveries. Delivery times are set by the carrier and are not the responsibility of La Lune. Any questions regarding delivery dates or times must be addressed directly to the carrier.
To offer competitive rates, La Lune works with carriers performing grouped deliveries, which results in longer delivery times compared to direct shipments. This should be taken into consideration.
The average delivery time for this type of shipping is 4 to 6 weeks.
Express carrier orders are possible on quotation and at a higher cost, borne by the Customer.
7.6. RETURNS FOR BULKY ITEMS
If you are not satisfied with your item, you may return your intact and unused purchase within 14 business days of receiving the items (carrier’s date being authoritative). The Customer is responsible for shipping costs associated with returning an undamaged item, as well as for reserving and transferring the item to the carrier used for the return. Returned merchandise must be unused and in its original packaging. Fragile products must arrive intact; any damaged or broken merchandise cannot be refunded.
Refunds will be issued to the Customer no later than fourteen days. Returns must be made in their original and complete condition (packaging, accessories, etc.) to allow resale, accompanied by the purchase invoice. If you wish to return an item, please contact bonjour@lalunegalerie.fr for guidance.
Force majeure
Events considered as force majeure releasing the seller from the obligation to deliver include: war, riot, fire, strikes, accidents, and inability to be supplied. Goods always travel at the recipient’s risk. Always check your package upon arrival.
The Customer must exercise their right of withdrawal by sending (by email or mail) to the La Lune Customer Service that processed the order, the withdrawal form provided below, along with any documents proving the date of receipt of the products (e.g., delivery note).
La Lune commits to contact the Customer within 72 hours to detail the product return procedure.
Products for which the Customer exercises the right of withdrawal must be returned to the address provided by the store within a maximum of fourteen (14) days from withdrawal. The Customer must place all products in their original packaging, in perfect condition, and carefully prepare the return parcel(s).
Returns will only be accepted if the Customer follows the product return procedure.
The Customer cannot exercise their right of withdrawal if the returned products are unfit for resale due to, for example, visible damage.
When delivery was made by carrier, the Customer may return the products by their own means or, if unable, La Lune provides a pick-up service at the Customer’s expense, equal to the initial delivery cost excluding any discounts.
In the case of a return by the Customer exercising their right of withdrawal under this article, the Customer assumes transport risks.
8. OWNERSHIP
We retain ownership of all products ordered until we have received full payment.
9. PERSONAL DATA
The Customer has, in accordance with the provisions of the French Data Protection Act of January 6, 1978, the right to access data concerning them, as well as the right to modify, correct, or delete such data.
Personal data relating to the Customer is intended solely for the exclusive use of La Lune and will under no circumstances be transmitted to a third party.
10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All texts, comments, photos, and images on the website www.lalunegalerie.fr are the exclusive property of La Lune. As such, only private use is permitted; unauthorized copying and reproduction are strictly prohibited.
11. JURISDICTION
In case of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought before any legal action.
Failing an amicable solution, any legal action will be brought before the competent courts in France.
