« My practice is a celebration of slow making. The inherent imperfection and quiet strength of hand building speak to an ancient tradition of working with clay. The subtle fingermarks left in the surface are the connection between my hands and yours. My work is slow made and free formed, shaped by the rhythm of making. Working with clay facilitates my own connection to the earth and a primal act of creating with a living material. Working in a pre-industrialised tradition of pinch, coiling and slab, my hand built forms directly translate the earth, through touch, into objects. »
