A wall mirror like a shimmer of dark water drawn from a glacial lake, nestled in the heart of a mountain in the Vosges. Mīrarī, “to look closely,” to seek one’s reflection in the depths of the water, of the soul. To become aware of oneself and one’s surroundings through the object.
A multifaceted, independent designer, interior architect, and scenographer, Louise Hurth explores objects and space as bridges between nature and human beings. She strives to reveal and give form to the emotional and sensory connections that bind us to space and time, and to help us become more aware of and feel the ways in which we inhabit our surroundings. She enjoys exploring the memories embedded in objects and creating spatial poems—moments of contemplation.
