After a career as a florist, Suhee Kim discovered clay and trained as a ceramicist. She lives and works in Paris. Drawing inspiration from memories of Busan, the Korean port city where the artist grew up, her work creates a dialogue between the sea and matter, between the organic and the mineral. Her work with clay reveals porous, dynamic, almost living surfaces—traces of a landscape that is both intimate and geological.
