INTERVALLES TABLE
Solid oak legs with a varnished finish and a reinforced mortar tabletop.
At the intersection of the studio’s world and La Lune’s publications, it is the result of a creative dialogue between Hélène Pinaud, Julien Schwartzmann, and Madeleine Adraa. The pieces presented draw on a primitive and graphic architectural vocabulary, repeating and interrupting sequences of geometric forms. These silhouettes can be interpreted in multiple ways and evoke various artistic references; one can see in them a tribute to Brancusi, Native American totems, the twisted designs of 19th-century furniture, Hans Coper’s ceramics, and Noguchi’s lighting fixtures. Drawing on the expertise of artisans and a dynamic exchange, each piece is the result of a unique dialogue. The back-and-forth between workshops and the understanding of materials and techniques are at the heart of the approach taken by La Lune and Heju.
Turned wood has the characteristic of aging, revealing cracks over time; this is entirely normal and does not constitute a defect in the piece. Due to the handmade nature of our products, the actual color and surface texture may vary slightly from one piece to another, and minor differences are inevitable. These should not be interpreted as defects but reflect the handmade nature of the product.
