BED COVER "Geruza"
Quilted bedspread made from vintage fabric and filled with wool, featuring porcelain tufting by artist Johanna Meyer. A one-of-a-kind piece designed for the “Le Chemin de l’Eau” bed.
Safre is an artisanal atelier founded by Martin Bady in 2019. As a textile finisher, he designs custom-made clothing as well as interior furnishings. He specializes in ancient, sometimes forgotten techniques, the execution of which requires considerable time. The materials used are traditional and created in the atelier; they are chosen for the richness of their inherent properties. The application of these ancient manual techniques immerses us in an appreciation of the craftsmanship itself, in the recognition of the imperfection necessary to evoke the sensory and the living. They accompany a reflection seeking to reconcile us with the notion of aging, as a participant in the poetry of our daily lives, echoing our unique history that unfolds each day. The humble intention is thus to design textiles that are embodied.
